Brief History of Ahsan Manzil

Ahasn Manzil proudly stands amongst the magnificent historical and architectural specimens in Bangladesh. It stands on the banks of the river Buriganga. It was erected by Nawab Abdul Ghani. He named the palace "Ahsan Manzil" after his son Khwaja Ahsanullah.  Its construction began in 1859 and completed in 1872. After its emergence, it faced damages for several times for natural calamities. On April 7, 1888 a fierce tornado severely damaged it. Then Nawab Ahsanullah rebuilt the building. But Ahsan Manzil once again came under attack of an earthquake on June 12, 1897. However, Nawab Ahsanullah was able to restore it again. The palace was subsequently got damaged due to lack of maintenance by its successors. With the passage of time the palace became the sanctuary of illegal occupants.

Ahasn Manzil Museum

After much damage, the government could ascertain the historical value of Ahsan Manzil. The restoration of the palace was completed in 1992. The Directorate of Public Works and Architecture supervised the whole renovation work. In the same year Bangladesh National Museum was given the authority to control it. At present, it is one of the eye-catching museums in Bangladesh.

Eagle Pose (also known as Gorudasana) is an effective Yoga pose for attaining flexibilities in major body joints. Most importantly it is essentially beneficial for increasing sexual potency and eradicating reproductive complications. In fact, it is the only Yoga Posture which is capable of supplying adequate blood to the reproductive system, sex organs, and the kidneys.

Eagle Pose

Steps

  1. Stand Straight.
  2. Balance your body on your left leg.
  3. Raise your right leg and bind the left leg over the left.
  4. Bring your arms together and cross your left elbow over your right elbow. Press your palms together as firmly as it possible.
  5. Stay in this position for 15-30 seconds.
  6. Release your legs and arms and stand straight as Step -1.
  7. Do Savasana (Corps  Pose) for 15-30 seconds.

Note: When you are done then repeat the same stages by your opposite legs and arms for the same length of time.

Many of us like to enjoy Thai Chicken soup in nearby Chinese restaurants. But it is always better to eat homemade foods. You can prepare Thai Chicken soup at home very easily. The ingredients are very common and the preparation takes only 18-20 minutes. Today I am going to share a basic Thai Chicken soup recipe which is very common in Bangladesh. So, cook and enjoy!

Ingredients:
Easy Thai Chicken Soup Recipe

  1. Chicken stock- 5/6 cups
  2. Chicken breast-1/2 cup
  3. Shrimp-1 cup
  4. Mushroom-1 cup (optional)
  5. 1 Lemon grass stalk (sliced lower end plus the intact upper stalk)
  6. Green chili-1/2 (chopped)
  7. Egg yolk-3
  8. Corn flower - 3 Tbsp
  9. Vinegar/lemon juice- 3 Tbsp
  10. Tomato Sauce-3 Tbsp
  11. Chili sauce -2 Tbsp (optional)
  12. 1tbsp soya sauce
  13. Sugar-3 tsp
  14. Salt- to taste

Step by step Preparation:

  1. Place chicken stock in a large soup pot over lower-medium heat and boil it well.
  2. Now add chicken breast, mushroom, lemon grass, green chili and boil until the chicken is cooked.
  3. Meanwhile take a bowl and beat the egg yolks and add cornflower and mix it very well and set it aside.
  4. Now turn down the heat to lower-medium and add Vinegar/lemon juice, Tomato Sauce, Chili sauce, sugar, salt and soya sauce and stir.
  5. Now take 3-4 tbsp stock from the soup pot and mix it smoothly with the egg mix that you set aside.
  6. Now slowly pour the egg mixture into the soup bowl while stirring the soup continuously.
  7. When the soup turns smooth then add the shrimps and boil until they are cooked.
  8. Pour the prepared soup into serving bowls and serve hot.
