Galaxy Launcher

Samsung definitely rules the market with its singular Galaxy theme. Even for me nothing is better than this. Unfortunately not everyone can afford a Samsung device since it’s very dear. However, many developers have come forward to develop third party launchers which provide near likeness to the Galaxy interface.  However, not all launchers are the perfect clone; you need to experiment a lot to find the perfect match. But ultimately you will end up in misery! Anyway, after lots of experiment I have found a launcher which replicates almost all features of real Galaxy theme. The subject app is Galaxy Launcher by name, which also features the cherished TouchWiz effects.

Customization:

Launcher

1. Long-press on the empty space of screen to enter the edit mode.
2. Long-press on an icon and drag it to the right border of the screen to add a new screen.
3. To delete a screen, just remove all the icons and widgets on the screen.
4. To re-order the screens, long-press the screen in edit mode and drag it to left/right screen border.
5. To create a folder on desktop, touch and hold an app, then move it over another.

Unread Count

To use unread count firstly download ADW Notifier or Holo Notifier. Secondly, open Galaxy Launcher Settings → Unread Counts and tick Enable unread counts then under Providers please tick Enable ADW Notifier or Holo Notifier (whichever you have installed). After these steps you will see that a badge will occur displaying notifications on Gmail, SMS, Missed call, etc. You can also customize the badge/bubble color in ADW Notifier, which I will recommend to use.
