Ingredients
- Basmati/Pilau Rice - 1 ½ cups
- Carrot - ½ cup
- Onion - ½ cup (minced)
- Onion Flakes - ½ cup
- Green Peas - ½ cup (optional)
- Garlic - 1 tsp (minced)
- Ginger - 1 tsp (minced)
- Green Chilly- 2 or 4 (diced)
- Pepper - ½ tsp
- Capsicum- 100 grams (diced)
- Soy Sauce - 2 tsp
- Egg – 1 (scrambled)
- Vegetable Oil - ½ cup
- Salt - to taste
- Testing Salt - to taste (optional)
Step by Step Preparation
- Cook the rice nicely and set it aside to cool naturally until the grains are easily separated.
- Now heat vegetable oil on pan and add the onion, garlic, ginger, and green chilly.
- Add carrot, onion flakes, and green peas and fry for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the scrambled egg and stir well for 1-2 minutes.
- Now add the rice and salt and stir well.
- Add soy sauce and cook for about 6-7 minutes.
- Finally add pepper and capsicum and finish cooking!
