Many of us like to enjoy Thai Chicken soup in nearby Chinese restaurants. But it is always better to eat homemade foods. You can prepare Thai Chicken soup at home very easily. The ingredients are very common and the preparation takes only 18-20 minutes. Today I am going to share a basic Thai Chicken soup recipe which is very common in Bangladesh. So, cook and enjoy!

Ingredients:
Easy Thai Chicken Soup Recipe

  1. Chicken stock- 5/6 cups
  2. Chicken breast-1/2 cup
  3. Shrimp-1 cup
  4. Mushroom-1 cup (optional)
  5. 1 Lemon grass stalk (sliced lower end plus the intact upper stalk)
  6. Green chili-1/2 (chopped)
  7. Egg yolk-3
  8. Corn flower - 3 Tbsp
  9. Vinegar/lemon juice- 3 Tbsp
  10. Tomato Sauce-3 Tbsp
  11. Chili sauce -2 Tbsp (optional)
  12. 1tbsp soya sauce
  13. Sugar-3 tsp
  14. Salt- to taste

Step by step Preparation:

  1. Place chicken stock in a large soup pot over lower-medium heat and boil it well.
  2. Now add chicken breast, mushroom, lemon grass, green chili and boil until the chicken is cooked.
  3. Meanwhile take a bowl and beat the egg yolks and add cornflower and mix it very well and set it aside.
  4. Now turn down the heat to lower-medium and add Vinegar/lemon juice, Tomato Sauce, Chili sauce, sugar, salt and soya sauce and stir.
  5. Now take 3-4 tbsp stock from the soup pot and mix it smoothly with the egg mix that you set aside.
  6. Now slowly pour the egg mixture into the soup bowl while stirring the soup continuously.
  7. When the soup turns smooth then add the shrimps and boil until they are cooked.
  8. Pour the prepared soup into serving bowls and serve hot.
